The chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd says his administration has received over three billion naira from the federation account and over twenty million naira from internally generated revenue in the last one year, which has been prudently managed to reposition the Local Government Area.
Dr. Lloyd disclosed this while rendering account of stewardship as part of activities to mark his one year in office at the council secretariat on Friday. He also said his administration has improved the internally generated revenue IGR of the council.
He said his administration has embarked on several projects due to the non interference of Governor Nyesom Wike in the monthly allocation of local governments from the federation account.
He however noted that one of the challenges of his administration was the activities of illegal artisanal petroleum refiners and oil bunkering in some communities the area, which he said the council was able to reduce to an appreciable level in collaboration with the different security agencies and special security units in the area.
In their separate remarks, the chairman of Emohua PDP caucus, Eze Paul Wonodi, Former chief of staff Rivers State Government House, Chief Glory Emeh and former commissioner of housing, Elder Chinedu Tasie also spoke on the achievements of Dr. Chidi Lloyd, as they expressed gratitude to the council chairman for changing the narrative about Emohua Local Government Area within one year of his administration.
